The first coin is for the American Legion National Convention in New York City for 1937. The front of the coin has the image of a soldier's head in profile with the New York City skyline in the background. The back has a sponsorship from Seagram's. The second coin celebrates the 20th anniversary of Armistice Day, the end of the first World War, 1918 - 1938. The front has the American Legion logo, and the back has the anniversary recognition.
